Story Behind The Image

It’s one of my favourite images. Probably because of its quite picturesque look and the fact it was taken in Glencoe – which mostly looks rather gloomy and for sure not that colorful. Of course, that dramatic look with thick and low suspended clouds has its charm, there’s no doubt about it. However, it’s always much more satisfying to get something different, unusual and unique.
Nothing really indicated there might be such a great light that morning. More than an hour before the sunrise it was still cloudy and it didn’t seem to be changing at all. It wasn’t very motivating, especially after very much sleepless night I had during that wild camp on the top of Sgorr na Ciche.
I decided to find an interesting frame anyway and wait until it brightens up a little. I knew that just a few minutes of a small sunny spell would allow me to capture how nature paints with light over the faraway hills. Almost two hours of waiting and I got what I wanted. Photograph and a hot coffee back in my tent.

Quality

All my photos are produced as Fine Art Prints using the best archival materials. Checked for quality and approved by me individually. High-quality lenses and neutral density filters used when taking pictures can ensure the best resolution and sharpness to the prints.
Fine Art Fibre Baryte Gloss is the Second generation high-quality real Baryte paper that has a unique look with a bright white gloss finish. Perfect for professional and exhibition prints. The baryta (special barium sulphate coating) is in the paper base giving excellent colour rendition. The technical benefits of Baryta layer include greater detail and definition, extended tonal range and excellent archival properties with museum quality – no discolouration and degradation under normal conservation conditions.

Authenticity

All my Fine Art Prints are signed by me and numbered (if limited) inside the bottom margin area. I use an acid-free pen for that. On the back of the print, I handwrite the date and the place where the photo was taken. If you prefer to have my signature and the edition number on the back of the print, please leave a note while ordering.
Additionally, all limited edition prints will be delivered with a certificate of authenticity, embossed with my personalised stamp. Normally I do not emboss prints itself but if you prefer to have it, please be sure to mention about it while ordering as well.

The photographer reserves the right to reproduce this image for any promotional purposes and to use it in calendars, books, greetings cards, etc. However, these reproductions have different finish and are not considered originals. In fact, these can only increase the value of your original.
