I cannot find enough words to describe how happy I was to be a part of Rachel and Alistar’s big day. They decided to organize their wedding in a beautiful village of Sorn in East Ayrshire. I’ve never been there before so it was therefore even more exciting for me. And without a doubt, it was worth going there.
The service was held in Sorn Parish Church and then followed by a procession back to the stunning Sorn Castle – right before it started to rain. However, it was certainly one of those days in Scotland when no one really cared about the weather. At the end of the ceremony, father of the bride conducted a men’s choir which made a day even more special.
I was amazed how homely and cozy it was inside the castle when bride and groom were getting ready. Especially that castle’s bedchambers may seem… rather cold. Nevertheless, you could’ve felt a truly family atmosphere seeing only family members in the entire castle. No rush, no unnecessary stress and kids playing all over the place. And that’s what this is all about.
