Story Behind The Image
No climbing, no wild-camping, not having even a drop of rain. Quite unusual conditions for me to be taking pictures. If so, why no to try something different than usual. I didn’t want go for a cheap and easy shot. Which might seem to be an obvious thing to do in such a popular place as Loch Lomond. It’s just not my way to have things done. Especially, that I still had plenty of time before the sunset to find a frame I’ve never seen before. So once I found it, I just kept waiting and simply enjoying the evening.
Would be almost perfect if not the midges, of course. Well, at least they made me to exercise a bit. Anyway, incessant waving with my both hands only made me look like a crazy person and did not help with midges at all. Hence, I simply hid under my hood and focused on the photo. I decided to show almost symmetrical silhouette of Loch Lomond hills with a Munro, Ben Lomond. Those colors of the sky and water together with long exposure made for a very picturesque and almost unnatural look. And that’s what I was looking for.
